The Be a Weekender package includes:

Arewa House

Kaduna state occupies part of the central position of the northern part of Nigeria. Kaduna, which is the plural of Kada, got its name from the reptile 6, which abounded in the River Kaduna in the early days. Kaduna State is historically the home of Queen Amina of Zazzau who was noted for stepping where men dared not. As the ruler of Zazzau she made conquest and waged battles against her neighbours.

The capital Kaduna served as the capital of colonial master, Federick Luggard when he moved from Zungeru, capital of northern Nigeria, North central state and now Kaduna.

Arewa house was the residence of Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sardauna of sokoto and the former premier of the Northern region, and the first chancellor of ABU Zaria. The house was taken over by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1979 and was transformed to a centre for historical documentation and research. The house has a well equipped research library and archive and exhibition galleries.

More interesting is the well preserved history of Northern Nigeria which can be found in the centre recommended for every tourist who wants to have a first hand information on the history of Northern Nigeria.

Other interesting places of interest include: Gamji park, Lord Lugard hall, Zaria city walls, National museum and monument, kagoro hills and the ancient NOK cultural centre.
